Interland bij DOTO rustig verlopen

Het veld van amateurvoetbalvereniging DOTO in Pernis was woensdagavond het decor van een interland.
Kazachstan, getraind door de Rotterdamse bondscoach Arno Pijpers (foto) speelde een oefenwedstrijd tegen Armenië en verloor met 1-0. Pijpers is met zijn ploeg op trainingskamp in Nederland.

Rond het duel waren veiligheidsmaatregelen getroffen vanwege de gevoeligheden rond de Armeense kwestie. Dit had bij de voetbalvereniging in Pernis mogelijk tot onrust kunnen leiden tussen Armeniërs en Turken. Er deden zich echter geen incidenten voor, er waren zo'n tweehonderd Armeense supporters aanwezig bij het duel.

Ajax striker Edgar Manucharyan has admitted he does not have a future
at the club after becoming frustrated at his lack of first-team
opportunities.

The 21-year-old has not played a single minute for the first team
this campaign and does not want the same thing to happen next season.

"I have been fit for months but coach (Adrie) Koster still didn't give
me a chance," said Manucharyan. "Another season at Jong Ajax is not
my cup of tea. If I can't play at a higher level I will not improve."

The Armenia international has not ruled out the possibility of a
loan move.

"I hope things will change," he added. "Maybe Ajax can loan me out
for six months."
